Global TV Su-Ling Goh Interview at Elves
Su-Ling Goh, from Global Edmonton, came to the Elves Adult & Youth Centre and interviewed the Cender family. They took amazing shots of the school and the Chinese New Year dance that was happening that day!
The interview, the "Cender Love Story", was aired on Thursday February 12, 2009 during the 6 o’clock news on Global, Channel 8!!! If you go to Global's website you can watch the Interview!
A huge thanks to Su-Ling Goh for the time she invested in Elves and our story!
Oilers 50/50 Raffle Night
On behalf of Elves Special Needs Society, we would like to express our most sincere gratitude to all those who assisted in making our Edmonton Oilers 50/50 Raffle, held on November 13th, 2008 a huge success!
The night required a large number of volunteers, and we are so proud to announce that we had 59 volunteers come and support us! The energy and enthusiasm from all the volunteers was amazing!! We really appreciate the giving of your time and energy in the service of Elves.
We are very excited to present the results of the successful Edmonton Oilers 50/50 Raffle with a grand total of $13,816.68 raised. Your contribution will make a difference in the quality of life of our children, youth and adults with severe and multiple disabilities, as the funds will go directly to building an Adapted Recreation Area specially designed for their needs.
We would also like to take a moment to recognize and thank the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation for providing Elves with this opportunity!
It is of the utmost importance to use to lead in programming for those with special needs. Thank you so much for your time, involvement and support in helping build Elves.
elves 2008 Red Carpet Gala-Auction & Dinner
Saturday October 18, 2008

The event was an overwhelming success! Please look forward to more details about how much was raised as all proceeds will go towards building an Adapted Recreation Area at our Elves Adult & Youth Centre for our severely disabled youth and adults.
We aspired to have each guest that attended to have the experience of our Red Carpet. With Su-Ling Goh live reporting, the “paparazzi” taking your picture, Nicola Crosbie on the Red Carpet and Performers Marilyn Monroe and Pavarotti on the Red Carpet, it was original, exciting and a night to remember!
Our guest speaker, Edmonton's favourite Chief Meteorologist from Global Edmonton, Nicola Crosbie did a fantastic job helping us celebrate "a night with our stars" to illustrate the importance of quality of life for our severely disabled youth and adults and their families and caregivers.
